How Long Must We Wait?

When the prophet Joseph Smith was imprisoned in Liberty Jail, he asked: “O God, where art thou? And where is the pavilion that covereth thy hiding place? How long shall thy hand be stayed?” (D&C 121:1-2)

You, too, may wonder, “How long must we wait?” Whether we’re waiting for promised blessings, relief from pain, justice against oppressors, or any number of things, accepting the Lord’s timing can be a challenge. But as we “wait upon the Lord,” this piece reminds us that God will reward our faith, patience, and humility with spiritual strength, tender mercies, and perfection in Christ.
